Stamp: Tumblr is Over-rated

While I am a tumblr user, and I go on it everyday, I still believe that this "oh-so-amazing" site is far too over-rated.

People portray tumblr as this wonderful, amazing, and addicting site that is filled with funny stuff and accepting people. This could be true in some cases, but for the most part I have to say it isn't.

Tumblr is really a horrible place just as bad as people make facebook out to be. It is still filled with judgemental asswipes who will laugh at you and look down upon you just for simply having a different opinion or liking something that some people may find not acceptable in the tumblr community. It's horrible, really. Tumblr users try to make tumblr out to be this great accepting place, but in all reality it is just as bad as any other site, and the people are no different.

Not to mention that tumblr users speak in almost the exact same way all the time. It's almost as if tumblr has it's own god damn language. Here are some examples of the way that people in the tumblr community speak:

"OMG THAT COMMENT IS PERF"

"reblogging for that comment omgf"

"tHIS"

"I'M FUCKNGI SCREAMING AT MY COMPUTER"

"forever reblog"

"if you dont reblog this im judging you"

Do you see just how repeatative and annoying this way of speaking is? First of all judging those who don't support or reblog certain things is by far the stupidest thing in the world, and then claiming that you're pissing because something is UBER FUNNY. While this was funny for a while, people started to overuse this way of over-exxageration, and capitalizing random letters, that it became stale and no longer funny. Of course it will never stop, as people try to fit in and think they're so cool for using this way of talking. This way of talking has even spread to deviantart as well, and multiple other websites. It's extremely annoying and simply NOT FUNNY.

The last problem that I have with tumblr is the fact that they butcher posts and just the whole of tumblr with over-used memes and jokes. There could be a perfectly good post but then someone would jump in and feel the need to add an old and over-used meme or something of the sort, and it ruins the post. Not to mention the posts that are revolved around the over-used joke/meme. As an example, that picture of Patrick with a shocked looked on his face. People have used that so many times I'm starting to get down-right annoyed with it whenever I see it. It's everywhere though, and people do not know when to stop.

Anyways, TL;DR; tumblr is a judgemental site just as bad as any other, and the community is terrible, they butcher and over-use jokes until you get annoyed with them, and never know when to stop with their stale and unamusing way of speaking.
